The Delta 1 Scanning Delay Mod 5 or 7 seconds  &  Channel Expansion Mods

Mod 1 (most common used)

Delta 1 Channel Expansion Mod. 40 channels (25 Kc spacing) Swiss spacing (UK ch 20=will become 39)

Behind the Front panel , Find links – SJ603 and SJ604   bridge these links with small loop. You can of course add a double throw switch to switch both links if you want to make the radio switchable between UK and Swiss versions.

Mod 2 (was the extra secret 20 channels above 934)

Delta 1 Channel Expansion Mod. 40 channels (50 Kc spacing) eg 934 to 935MHz (UK ch20 is still 20 with 20 channels above added)

Behind the Front panel , Find link –  SJ604   bridge this link with small loop. You can of course add  a switch to switch both links if you want to make the radio switchable between UK and extra MHz version. Only works on some serial numbers. If yours is one of those see below. and use the “Super Mod” instead.

Mod 3 (“The Super Mod”)

Delta 1 Channel Expansion Mod. Gives both above mods. (Swiss spacing 40ch 25Kc 934MHz  & UK20ch + 20ch 935MHz )

Behind the Front panel , Find links – SJ603 and SJ604   bridge link SJ604 with a small loop.  add a  switch to  link SJ603.  With the switch switched out You have a 40 channel radio 934 to 935MHz. UK ch20 is still channel 20. One quirk on some serial number radios is. To obtain 935 MHz Switch SJ603 in   THEN go to ch 40  THEN switch SJ603 out .   Radio then will work on 935.012 to 935.962. Below ch20 will be normal  UK934  (go backwards from ch 40 only). Going forward will reset it to a UK20ch

You probably will have worked out by now that : SJ603 is the selection of the channel spacing 50Kc when open and 25Kc when closed. SJ604 is the selection of channels allowed 20ch when open 40 channels when closed. They could both be switched of course but this makes it easier to select the wrong frequency by accident. One switch operation is easier and allows all 60 channels.
